Thread: how do you sell a site when its an add on?

i want to sell the site which is an addon to my main site. how do i do this?

I sold 2 sites last month which were add ons. I gave the buyer :
- access to my wordpress account (both sites were using wordpress)
- ftp access to transfer all the files (you can create this at cpanel)
- sent the database file (you can download this at cpanel)

thanks. someone is actually interested to have my wordpress site which is an add on. and its this reason why i can't sell it to him. thanks. its time i should create an FTP account for this addon

Add-on domain or sub-domains/subfolder?

An add-on domain is the same as a regular domain. So no issue here.

For a blog on a sub-domain/subfolder, put the site on a new domain and 301 all the pages using apache module mod rewrite.

addon. there are no issues actually. he just want the files on his host provider

Just get the password of the account and ftp the files. If it's wordpress you may want to charge a small fee.

You just have to zip the wp content folder and grant all file transfer protocol(FTP) access to the addon domain. There is nothing that can be done with the domain though.
