Thread: Speed Up Page Load Times by Compressing Your CSS

  1. Speed Up Page Load Times by Compressing Your CSS

The CSSDrive CSS Compressor is a nifty little utilize which squeezes all the comments and whitespace out of your CSS files. This makes them smaller and as a result makes your pages load faster for your site visitors.

Warning: Be sure to keep a copy of your uncompressed CSS. It's no fun trying to edit a compressed CSS file.

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

If you cut a 85k css file down to 30k you're going to require 55k less to load the page.

It's not going to be a huge increase with a small page, but it can become noticeable with large websites.

Can't hurt to make your pages load slightly faster.
