Thread: Uploading with FileZilla and...

I was uploading some files when some random file appeared with the name:

.pureftpd-upload.4a040a0d.15.7a2b.d2395807

I don't know how it got there and why it is there. It won't let me delete it and it won't let me rename it.

Any ideas?

That's some temp file that got stuck in there and filezilla couldn't delete it after your upload.
Do you have root access to the server? If you do you can just get to the console and wipe it out.

Thanks for your help. I just looked back and the file has gone for some reason

pureFTD is the FTP daemon on your server. The temporary file was probably something it used during the transfer process.
