is this allowed to sell here?if so i have acc. there with 2.3k+ post for 500$![]()
haha..why don't you just create a new account and don't brag about it, keep it low profile. then you wont be detected. I know DP has a lot of duplicate accounts. Some even use the account to outbid themselves.

I think Selling Accounts is not allowed here in NB.
Buying and selling accounts is not, to my knowledge, illegal.
It may violate someone's Terms of Service, which will most likely result in the account being permanently banned if you get caught.
But, that is far different from breaking a law.

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.
So you're allowing it?
IMHO, you should not allow it. Selling/Buying accounts of services like RapidShare, gaming site is one thing, and buying accounts with an aim to scam others is other thing. I'm not saying thread starter wants to scam others, but we all know about number of scams being carried out in marketplaces of webmaster forums. Adding to it, registration on DP is free so there is no need to buy an account unless you have a purpose. If you allow this, then there is a slight posisbility of earning a bad name.
Just my opinion, no offence![]()

I'm definitely interested in hearing people's opinions.
My starting viewpoint is this:
- I would like to avoid making any rules which are not absolutely necessary.
- I would like to avoid making any rules which cannot be enforced automatically by software.
Obviously these are a bit idealistic, and I am willing to make necessary adjustments to deal with the realities of the world we live in. But, these are the overall goals that I would like to optimize for.

I've got a slightly used NetBuilders Account... Just kidding. As will said, if you get caught, the account will likely be permanently banned. Do keep in mind that DP mods roam here and elsewhere. I doubt its worth the risk.

Hi,
Well sometimes I think it sucks that accounts can't be sold... I mean, I've been selling Rapidshare accounts for the past 3 (4?) years and never had problems, returning customers etc...
And so far Rapidshare never had any problems with it, I sometimes even share them on webmaster forums (TemplateP2P) where I am VIP, in VIP area... I mean... I wouldn't forbid it, just add to the rules, the user has to tell in his topic, that the account CAN get banned, and NB isn't responsable for it.. So the buyer knows
Eventually make a category for accounts (Which only 100+ posts & 30 day members can see) this will make it a bit better so no scammers will be there...
Though, this is my opinion, maybe others won't agree(But that's why there are forums
)

The problem with selling a forum account is you are selling respect, reputation and trust that was earned. You cannot sell someone else's identity to a crook, and expect people to be ok with that. I'm not saying everyone that buys a forum account is a crook, but let's face it, people that buy the accounts are not always looking for "volume" for signature links and SEO. They are looking to buy the respect, reputation and trust of the previous user. They are buying an identiy. Its disingenuine.
