Somewhere in the forum I read a post saying that the poster made something like $53k last month.
I do believe that it is possible --and a lot of DP members make even way more.
If you're making anything close to that or maybe even only $5,000, could you share here...
1) How you started...
2) What you did and what it took to get there..
3) How much money was lost in the beginning...
4) Where did you invest your money at first...
Will: The most important step is the first: Finding a project that excites you. From there you should do market research to determine if the idea is viable — to see if the project also excites other people. Then it moves on to keyword research and building content. Finally, the project goes to marketing.
What I am more interested in is how you started and what your strategies were to get to this point. The links you listed here is very motivating and inspiring, but we can't really learn much to be able to apply it ourselves.
Adsense brings me some money but not much. The 30 second debt help ad in the top right is an affiliate program with NeverBlueAds. I made the only sale last september!
Started with adsense on blogpost blogs roughly 2 years back - failed.
Then tried clickbank - failed.
2) What you did and what it took to get there..
Then, I started offering services over Digitalpoint and was making a steady $1000 - $2500/mo.
I kept doing this for over a year, and in the course of doing it, met some awesome people like Will ( who mentored me ).
I had eventually re-invested all my money and created and organization with the wealth I had created.
At this point of time ( 6 months ago ) - I decided to stop using Digitalpoint and started breaking into the big league - I built contacts and network which enabled me to get my services down to the right corridor.
I saw my hard work finally pay off last month - revenues increased 25 fold
Moreover, its the hard work I put into learning techniques, experimenting with stuff and building a close relationship with my contacts which has helped me do this.
3) How much money was lost in the beginning...
I didn't lose any money.
I just re-invested all the money i made.
4) Where did you invest your money at first...
Mostly into my business - infrastructure, manpower, research etc.,

How has the traffic been since? What are you doing to increase it and why not add more adsense but make it look like it's more a part of the site rather than advertising?
It may be worth trying it!
