AdSense Tips Thread

Hi,

This is a thread dedicated to AdSense tips only. Please no 'good tips' posts. I just want this thread to be pure quality discussion.

The strange thing is that Gaya Design with 34k pageviews a month get about 3 clicks throughout the month haha! but my DS blog (which has a very low visitors count) gets about 200 clicks a month on ads. I think the non-techy users click ads much faster. I'd love to have more internet activity in that area... maybe a blog about Nintendo would be cool to have.

i just wanna add opinion for farrhad tips no.1 :
why this tips can make your CTR increase? Because with removing your ads border, it's will make the ads blended with your site. And visitor will think that is menu of your site, and not see it like an ads. And probably visitor will click it.

Here are a few tips from some of my sites

DO NOT Create a site just to post ads. AdSense Ads will Thrive in an enviroment where there is ALOT of USEFUL content. AdSense ads will fail if there is no content. The best thing to do is have your site up and running for at least 6 months before placing ads on it.

I'd like to add one:

Do NOT break the Adsense rules. Don't click your own ads, and don't ask people to click them for you (or at least only do it once or twice). Google are known for coming down very hard on cheaters, and they will ban your account if they even get a sniff of foul play.

Tip 8
Choose a keyword properly if you wanna play adsense. Don't choose to general keyword because it's already many competitor but also don't choose very detailed keyword. It's because if you choose too detailed keyword, your adsense ads sometime just showing social service ads because the ads related to your keyword is not too many. This problem will make you losing an adsense earning chance.
