Chitika, do they work?

Here is why:

Since our ads only display to search engine traffic, you will not benefit at all unless you get search traffic to these proxy sites.
The user mentality on a proxy site is not very conducive to ad clicks. For example, users who are looking for proxies will generally find the proxy and then go - they are unlikely to look around on the page. Also, these users are generally very tech-savvy, and most tech-savvy users do not click on ads.

For proxy sites, I would think that your best bet would be to use CPM ads from networks that allow that type of traffic. Just my thought!

Thank you Ryan, your honesty and explanation is refreshing. Is there any chance Chikita would consider CPM marketing in the future?

No problem - I'm happy to help in any way I can

We actually have dabbled in CPM and we do have some limited offerings in that arena, but it is not where our focus is right now. We are barging ahead in the search traffic space for now.

Where did you try our ads? If it was on the site that you link to in your signature, I can see why you did not have success. That site gets very little search traffic, and is geared towards webmasters (webmasters and tech-savvy users are known to not click on ads often).

If it was on another site, I'll be happy to take a look and tell you if we will be a good fit, and provide some suggestions on how to use our ads successfully.

My site is 3 weeks old - what are you expecting - "little search traffic". I've got 183 users online right now so it can't be doing too bad traffic wise.

I wasn't actually talking about my forums actually - but It was on another webmaster related blog - so if your right about the webmaster / tech savvy user then that will apply to that blog.

I think what your doing now at grass roots (going on forums) and getting real life is real good. Good on you Ryan.
