Thread: Direct ads selling

This sounds very interesting. I am currently using Google Adsense. What is the difference and is it harder to get the direct ads?

In AdSense you can sell ads instantly while in direct sales it takes time and you need an established site.

Oh, so really you need to have a site that has a good amount of traffic or you won't be getting anything. My site is really lacking the traffic bit. I am looking into getting more and more people to come to it.

Yes riccur, you need traffic first. As farrhad said, adsense is more simple than direct ads because we don't need to manage it, google ads system is doing it for you but still direct ads have it advantage also instead google adsense :
- you can set your own price
- for newbie. direct ads is more profitable. You can sell your ads cheap for $3-$5, but it's better than google. Newbie on google adsense even not get $3 in their account in a month, adsense it's already full of competitor.
- no click to your direct ads will become fake click

I like the control that direct selling gives me over what to display on my blog. Also you don't have to deal with javacript, so direct ads are slightly faster. Setting your own price is a definite bonus as well.

I know I am a real newb to this, so where would you find these direct ads? Like who is willing to pay?

I could tell someone I will let them put an ad on my site for so much money, but not a lot of people would do that.
