    "Dumbest" Target Audience?

I don't want to be rude and call anyone ignorant or dumb, but which audience(s) seem to be the ones that click the most ads? Older women? Women in general? Teenagers? Parents who are extremely unfamiliar with the internet as a whole? What are your opinions and experiences?

I saw a comment that Will left on a thread, that basically stated people in the tech area are pretty blind to ads. I'm blind to ads. I only notice them because I am also using adsense on MY sites. Otherwise I wouldn't even bat an eyelash. (Also helps that I use adblock plus.....)

Who do you think is most likely to be the LEAST "ad blind"?

This could actually be worth running a series of surveys.

    Shoppers.

People who are looking to buy something are very willing to click ads. I've had some product related pages with 40% CTR's over long periods of time.

I have a product related site, my CTR is OK, but my traffic isn't that high on it yet either. Good point though......

Desperate people do REALLY dumb things.

Bald guys with a hot date

    Females with bad odor

Old VAIN women with crows feet.

The more vain, desperate - The more dumb!

With the coming depression, a lot of people are going to be really desperate.

The average length of unemployment just set a new record -- 25.1 weeks. That's almost half a year!

I am already seeing spammy offers focused at those folks.

I think he is right . I have reviewed few small paid software programs and my review articles contains some amazing keywords and this helps me to drive good traffic . Now when I am getting niche related quality traffic then my ctr is high as well as cpc is also growing .

I feel bad for the dumb people being targeted by spam things. But.....then again, everyone needs to make money.
