Thread: How much can I make with CPM ads?

How much can I get for a site with arounf half a million page impressions (almost all quality traffic)?

I have just applied to a bunch of CPM networks and got approved by one today and waiting for others. I want to go with the best possble one, so will wait a little longer before applying code for one of them?

Its an auto site, so how much can I expect to make? I know the cpm varies for differnt types of sites, but my site is a quality site with auto as its niche. 20-30 cents CPM is just not worthwhile for me when I can better utilise that ad space.

Also, how many banners must I display. I was hoping to display a single wide banner, you know the one that measures around 700 pixels wide and around 90px vertical just above the content?

DUDE!!! If you have an automotive site with that much traffic start selling ad space yourself. Start looking at your competitors, or like sites, and see how much to costs on their sites. I bet they are making anywhere from $2cpm to as much as $20cpm. Automotive is one of the best paying, and if your site has anything to do with parts...then right now you are golden. I have a road rage site that makes $$ every month, and I do nothing to it. It also only gets 1,000 page views a day.

That sort of makes sense, Automotive Parts in large have a high markup. It would make sense that they would pay more then something that does not in a PPC Setup.

Do you mind if I ask which network you use (Like AdSense)?

On my road rage site I do have valueclick, and text-link-ads going, but my main rev is just by selling space myself.
