Exactly. People who have figured out how to make a fortune do not sell it in WSOs for $7 to $10 a pop, nor do they give away their secrets.

Generally speaking, you cannot make much money for any length of time by copying what others do. I know several very successful people who each made their money by being "first movers" who saw an opportunity and took advantage of it before others could jump in. If they stuck with it and held on to the success it was because there were significant barriers to entry that prevented hundreds of others from copying what they were doing. With Internet businesses, it is hard carve out a niche and keep it successful for several years.

The perfect example is the original eBay Power Sellers. Each of the original top sellers literally made a $million+ their first year and then went bankrupt in the second or third year.

I have been following Shoemoney for years out of interest (I wish that there were more people like him blogging). He got the big Adsense check since he was invited to promote Adsense early on as some kind of premium partner. Even I as a hobby internet enthusiast made around $1000 a month from Adsense back in the day (from my what's my ip address display web page). And I still make passive Adsense income every day. So a big hitter like the Shoe could have easily made way more than I did. Now he services clients and has his PAR program to increase client profits, so I am sure that he is the real deal, and still making a good living from web-based business. Also, he created valuable web properties such as Auction Ads and sold them for lots of money.

To make money online needs creative thought, more than slapping a few banners up on a low traffic site.

Now shawn and shoemoney used all sorts of cookie stuffing, cookie stealing, and more to make money.

Last I heard was shawn without admitting guilt just paid out to make his problems go away.
That's why he still has adsense because his forum does drive traffic and google likes that.
But ebay and clickbank basically gave him the ban treatment.

That was pretty stupid on clickbank's part. Unless CB is somehow tied to ebay.

Ha ha, there is no way that ClickBank would be tied to eBay, they are so different. ClickBank is like the Pirate Bay/Warrior (newbie monetization) Forum (for internet marketers) but eBay is like PayPal IMO (a legitimate place to do online business).

There were actually two law suits and a federal indictment filed against Shawn Hogan. According to his Wikipedia page, the first was settled out of court, but the second that resulted in an additional Federal indictment and was still pending as of 2012. It is possible that the Wiki has not been updated.

Be persistent, do not give up. Too many people give up if they don't see money coming in the first month or two and move on t the next project before seeing it through.

Is there ANY proof that Shoemoney has done any of these things, other than his claims? Any independent verification of his clients? Look, if he hasn't voluntarily submitted himself to an independent audit to verify his claims, I don't know if I should believe him or not. But the gullible with always take someone at his word.

Look, the photo of him with the AdSense check is obviously photoshopped, and badly done, too.

Showmoney is legitimate and he has a large following, but there is a slime factor associated with him, the same as there is with Shawn Hogan. These guys push the limits of ethics. I personally would not believe something just because Shoemoney said it. I am on his mailing list and, quite frankly, most of his offers looks like borderline scams to me. They are on par with the some of the junk you will find in the Warrior Forum.

In my opinion, it was possible to pull in that kind of money in AdSense commissions in 2005. They was the hey day of affiliate marketing and before Google started to aggressively penalize sites for duplicate content and affiliate links. Google started their vendettas near the end of 2005.

People who know how to make real money on the Internet do not sell their secrets because it creates competition and dilutes their efforts. People who pretend to make real money on the Internet actually make their money by selling their so-called secrets to junior wannabee players.

I just can't see anything to back up what Shoemoney says.

How about a positive "Better Business Bureau" listing for his company?

The Better Business Bureau has not always been an honest organization. They have been caught selling higher rating several times just to get people to sign up. In other words, they are not impartial.

A company pays over $500 per year to become an accredited member. You have to pay dues to both the national organization and a local organization just to get the little BBB badge for your web site. I was a member when I started my company, but did not find any value in the membership.
