Thread: Is My Site Adsense Ready?

Hey Guys,

I'm wondering whether my blog, Youth Business Blog, is ready for monetization (i.e. Adsense, preferably). It's a month old, has about 4/5 comments per post on average, and about 40 uniques a day. I have over 100 RSS subscribers, too. Should I implement AdSense? Here are a couple of notes:

1) I should be getting a new theme soon... should I implement them then?

2) I could say that: "This site is based on content. To help pay for this content, we will keep it ad-free for six months, and at that point, we will implement AdSense."

Opinions? Options?

Why are you referring to the website as run by "We." It's run by one person, right? Saying "we" doesn't really make it more professional.

Also, you're honestly not going to make that much cash on adsense, and it looks ugly. Plus 40 uniques a day is pretty low traffic. At least get above 100 I think

That's weird... I don't know why I said "we".

Yeah, I was thinking that 100 would be a good target, but that'll take a few months at least... would it drive of readers?

Hello Logan,

I would advise you to wait a bit longer before moving to AdSense. Google is VERY strict and tends to decline younger sites. I would try to get at least 10 pages of solid content first.

I will tell you that I enjoy your site and visit it daily

With the current traffic expect a few cents a week.
And even 100 hits is low for your niche. With 1000 daily visits and considering your niche you can earn a bit.

Logan, Adsense is one of the worst monetization options for new websites. Adsense's worth has declined rapidly, and only way to earn decent money from any form of CPA ads is to have traffic numbering in high thousands per day.

Explore affiliate marketing and product launches.

I first thought that just to make a 14 y.o. happy I would encourage you, but that would not help you.
Here is the truth- You cannot earn from your site except AdSense really.
Aff Maketing- You will sell ebooks-- will people buy them?
Currently analyzing your site- it is not worth anything.
If you want to earn good money you need to spend on SEO and SEM.

Just don't do Adsense. You won't make anything from it and it will only annoy your readers.
Wait a little longer, or start emailing advertisers, ask them to advertise on your site for only 10$ per month, I got one when I had around 30-50 daily views. Just email 20 advertisers (look at advertisements on other sites in your niche) and their would be probably some response!

Looking at the blog, AdSense seems like a good option for monetization.

In time, you can also look into becoming an affiliate for products you believe in. (Or you could go blackhat and just shill for get rich quick schemes )

Once the blog gets a PageRank number assigned to it, you could sell sponsored blog posts. You have to be really careful with those though, because they can decrease the value of your blog in the long term.

Just try to join some good communities and social networks related to your topic . Than take part in conversion and refer your links where they are suitable but don't post them everywhere because it will look like spam . Go and chat with them join forums related tio your niche and bring quality traffic as much as you can . Only high quality traffic can give you good earnings . Right now have to work hard and keep working for new few weeks .
