New Chitika Mega Unit
Chitika just released a brand new Chitika | Premium unit called the MEGA-Unit.
Check out this 550x250 whopper of an ad:
But... it seems to work:
- AskDaveTaylor.com increased his Chitika earnings from $85/month to $2000/month by adding the new MEGA-Unit to his site (Dave talks about this in greater detail on his site).
- ArticleAlley.com tried the new MEGA-Unit and reports that "The result was a massive 721% increase in income - without any noticeable knock on effect to our other income providers." - Adrian from ArticleAlley.com
- Couponmom.com added the MEGA-Unit to just 1 of her pages, and immediately doubled her eCPM and revenue.
Wow that is one big Ad unit!
And amazingly impressive revenue increases... might have to reconsider chitika
I was about to post about this... :p
I guess I might try it somewhere, but I can't recall a website of mine where I have some 550 spare pixels... :D
Wonder if these can be dropped into proxy sites ;) Never have tried to use them on any before even though I have an account.
I've tried Chitika Premium on proxy lists and the results are not good.

Admittedly, I didn't give them a good ad placement. But still, .0.16% CTR, $0.12 CPC, and $0.19 eCPM isn't good.
On the other hand, Chitika Premium is doing fantastically well on Tools Keep and reasonably well on The Tech FAQ and Expat Intelligence. :)
Great, now make a lot of sites and search for a place to put it :)
Will, are you going to try to replace some adsense ads by this one and post the results or not?
I don't see this as an AdSense replacement. I see this as more of a "put this in the footer for some additional revenue." :)
Has Dave Taylor been paid by Chitika? Thats an incredible jump in CPM just for making the size a little bigger and moving the ad up a bit.
I figure that it is worth a shot although the 4X increase is probably not very realistic on a long term basis although it would be nice. The ad is huge though so it is pretty hard to miss.
