Question Sites that earn Money and Goal Setting for New Years

It is getting that time of year to make are New Year's Resolutions. So what will yours be?

I know a lot of us here are hoping to make Big Money however big money is not a goal. It is a by product of a goal. So lets say you want to earn money with our site. What are the steps you need to take to reach this goal?

I already understand that each niche pays a different amount. Selling products will also help you earn money and obviously the more you sell the more you can earn.

So the more people that go to your site the more you have a chance on earning, Right? Well, I am not yet convinced the this is really the case.

Pareto principle AKA the 80-20 rule, simply states that, 80% of income come from 20% of our work. This is a common rule taught in business classes; e.g., "80% of your sales come from 20% of your clients."

So shouldn't your goal be how can you get that 20% coming back again and again.

Yes, with all this random rambling going on in my head I do have a question.

So what is it that you do, to maximize your time, to earn the most money, from your highest paying site?

My goal for the upcoming year is to increase the number of clients I have. I don't agree with the 80-20 rule. A client that isn't making money isn't a client. It's someone trying to mooch off you and take your information for free. Being a consultant in Internet marketing for small businesses, I don't want people who are not, in some way or another, making me money. I'm not saying that I am greedy, but my time is precious.

However, back to your initial question. I plan on increasing my client list so that I can build the promotional marketing aspect of my business. If I have clients coming back to me asking me to get new t-shirts printed, more paper printed, fliers, etc, then I am going to be making easy money. With the bills paid for, I'll be able to develop my business and expand into other things I have planned.

So, to answer your question...I am looking to, in this year, streamline my business and have it making much more money.

That is why I will be selling off most of my blogs and sites the end of this month, beginning of next month.
Get it down to 4-7 blogs.
The ones that really get me visitors and money.
