Sean, an affiliate means something specific in Internet marketing. What you are describing has nothing to do with affiliates. An affiliate earns a commission whenever they drive a new customer to a site.

Hi Sean. It is not a matter of posting it in the wrong place. It is not an affiliate offer. It is a link exchange offer. The issue that iowadawg raised is about your use of the word 'affiliate'.

An affiliate is a partner who pushes traffic to a merchant's site. Whenever that results in a sale, the merchant pays the affiliate a commission. The merchant does not push traffic to the affiliate's site. Affiliate marketing drives traffic only a one way.
