Thread: Benghazi attack and coverup

He hadn't planned on losing Hillary. She was expendable at the time.

Hillary is testifying today. She's spouting total horse-shit and smoke. On the one hand she's busy throwing the dead guy under the bus... saying they relied on HIS judgment as to security matters. Of course someone pointed out his judgment is shown in the reports that say he was begging for help, which was turned down. THEN she reversed 180 and said those reports didnt come to her.

So basically she's using two arguments that cant coexist in the same space. Bottom line she wants to pretend it was a systemic issue that needs to be tweaked. All I can say is when she finally dies, she better dress for warm weather.

Mostly there's a bullshit mutual admiration society meeting going on with the dems and her, and the GOP is failing massively to nail her. I could drive trucks thru the holes in her argument, and she's being treated with deference and respect when she should be getting waterboarded for her role in this massive fuckup and the deception in the aftermath.

Is there some reason to expect something with substance in her testimony? The media will give her a free pass as usual. If she was a Republican, she would be getting slaughtered in the press by dozens of unfounded accusations from the usual suspects.

I don't know about you, but I think the country is going past the tipping point. The only thing worse that could happen is if the Dems take the Congress back in the mid-terms and we have to once again suffer the mind-numbing effects of Nancy Pelosi on a daily basis.

I'm missing the good old days of the cold war when the communist bastards that wanted to take America down at least lived on a different continent.

    The complete testimony

In her first testimony since the Benghazi attack, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton participates in a full day of hearings Wednesday about U.S. diplomatic security and the American mission in Libya.Sec. Clinton appeared before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the morning and will provide an afternoon testimony to the House Foreign Affairs Committee. In December, the State Department's highest ranking foreign service officers, William Burns and Thomas Nides, testified before Congressional lawmakers in the Secretary's place. They discussed a new report by an independent panel assessing the Benghazi attack.
Deputy Sec. Nides put several recommendations from a report on the attack into effect before the end of 2012. Implementing the rest, Nides said, will be underway by the time the next Secretary of State takes office. Three State Department officials have resigned since the report was released.
The two officials were substituting for Secretary Clinton, who was recovering from a concussion she suffered after fainting due to dehydration from a stomach virus.
Four Americans were killed in that attack, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens. Congress is investigating whether the State Department denied a request for extra security at that outpost earlier in the year and what actions were taken in the moments after the attack began
