So what does that mean? Are you trying to blame Bush for 9/11?

His initial response to 9/11 was his most admirable moment. And the policies he put in place helped prevent further attacks while he was in office.

I don't give Bush gold stars for a lot of things he did, but his response to 9/11 was his finest moment.

You mean the first 8 minutes after getting the fact in the ear, in that FL school?

You spend way too much time watching Michael Moore propaganda flicks. The reality didn't resemble the way Michael Moore distorted it. Bush was simply told that a plane had hit the towers and they were assessing the situation. When an attack was confirmed, Bush left with the Secret Service people, as he should have and when he should have. You cannot overreact to every incident that could possibly be a threat. We get dozens of threats every day in the USA. Most turn out to be nothing.

The first report that I heard about the first tower getting hit said it was a small private plane. The nitwits on the news were blaming it on a navigational error at the airport. There was a lot of confusion that day.

There wasn't a single issue in the Moore movie that was factual. Every issue was distorted to make it look like something that is wasn't. That is what he does for a living.

Even the interviews at the end that depicted Micheal Moore interviewing wounded Iraqi soldiers were fabricated. Moore never interviewed them and the questions that Moore asked in the movie were not the ones that were asked during the actual interviews. If I remember correctly, the actual interview was done by NBC (another questionable source) and covered a different topic. One of the guys sued Michael Moore, but the case was thrown out because the guy originally signed away the rights to NBC, who sold it to Michael Moore. Moore then did a cut-and-paste, which should have been illegal.

You really need to get way from this Bush bashing crap and get on with your life. There must be something more in life that drives you. Bush is no longer in office, and the guy currently in office is certainly not turning out to be an admirable leader.

I find admirable that you seems really believing all that is said inside the USA. No-US people are not as patriots as Americans for their country, which is all in your honor. News are not censured in other countries but few Americans actually get into those news. But that's OK.
The US receive treats because they are in need to do a war abroad every 10 year or so...The day the US take care of its own country, it will be in peace...

I live in the US and I will only get my (national) news from foreign sources, so I agree with what you say here about censorship and the fact that domestic news sources tend not to reveal the whole story.

I fully agree that we do not hear the whole story and news in the USA can be biased. News reporters do not report news. They report opinions. But I have traveled around the planet many times and I see a very inaccurate picture of the USA depicted in the opinions of news reporters in other countries, most of which have never visited the USA, nor do they have any true knowledge of what we do. They just have opinions that they report as facts.

There is a difference between censorship (not reporting a story) and distorting the facts based upon an agenda (propaganda). Our news in the US in not censored by the government, but some aspects are censored by the media due to their bias and their agenda.

But the issue being discussed has to do with what Bush was doing on 9/11, and there weren't any foreign reporters there, so I do not see anything factual being reported by the foreign press about Bush's activities. There is only the Moore version, which does not resemble reality. Moore always has an agenda and his movies have little relationship to the true story. He is a master at making something look like something it is not.

There is a difference between truth and a distorted view. While the points that Moore makes are based upon basic facts, he has twisted the meaning so that they appear to be something that they are not. That is not truth. That is a distorted viewpoint, which is really just propaganda.

The Bush haters all loved his movie, not because there was anything truthful in the movie, but because he shows them a dishonest viewpoint that they want to believe, just because they dislike Bush. That's no different than the anti-Jew propaganda movies that the Nazis produced prior to WWII, or the propaganda prevalent in almost every Muslim country.

At a minimum, it is a distortion of the facts. At worst, it is pure fabrication, such as the example I cited about the fabricated interviews with the American soldiers near the end of Moore's movie. I've seen the follow-up interviews with people that were in Moore's movie. It is very clear that there was little, if any, truth in the movie.

I was really happy to see his last movie fail. No one wants to watch his crap movies any longer.
