Thread: Election 2012: the Romney VP pick

Was referring to the Biden quote about the start of the depression. Hoover was president, and there wasnt a TV address.

Funny the comments I am finding on various sites about this pick of Paul Ryan.
Easy to see who is left and who is right.
Those on the left are ranting that Paul will eliminate Medicare and put all us seniors on a fast path to death.
Yes, they just spouting the normal lies and mistruths that the obama campaign puts out.

Those on the right are either very pro Paul, or spouting off about how Romney gave the election away because he did not pick (put in your choice here).

Will be some great debates, Joe "BFD" Biden vs Paul Ryan.
Do put your money on Ryan beating the crap out of Biden.

And sure by this evening there will be some hate ads from obama campaign about Paul.

I don't suppose that any of those Liberal sites will consider the fact that the Ryan Medicare plan gave people a choice to stay on the current Medicare program if they wanted to do so.

You will now see the anti-Ryan scare tactics machine go into full swing. I have not yet seen ANY Obama sponsored ad that was factually correct. All have been distortions or misrepresentations.

Having grown up in Chicago, I knew that almost all Liberal political ads were bald-faced lies and misrepresentations--but they worked, so that became the Chicago way of doing things. It came down to, "Don't believe anything your hear and only half of what you see."

Chicago Democrats built one of the strongest political machines in the country by subjugating its members through fear. It was so overwhelming that rather than rebelling, they became conditioned like Pavlov's dogs. My grandmother was a life-long Democrat who worked for the government in constant fear of losing her job. Any time anyone in the family mentioned anything pro-Republican, she got upset and started scolding that she could lose her job if anyone heard any of us say something like that.

Another aspect of Chicago politics is that no one gets into politics without the blessings of the syndicate and the unions, which are pretty much one and the same. That should give you a clue as to how the inherent lies and corruption got started.

Yeah, gotta love it... our country elected a graduate of the Daley machine as a reform candidate (?!) and now he's funneling billions in public funds to political cronies and his Dept of Justice is harrassing GOP donors, funneling weapons to criminals, and prosecuting states that try to keep dead people from voting.

    Gee, who coulda predicted that?

Just to stay political there is this.
Tonight on the Comedy Channel is a roast of roseanne barr.
You know, that fat, old, ugly broad from Iowa?
(best move Tom Arnold ever made was dumping her)
Well, to my way of thinking, it should be a real roast, complete with one thick long iron spit, lots of big logs, and everybody standing around drinking a cold one while she spins around slowly.

You do know this nutso woman is running for the presidency?
Yep, she is on the ticket of the peace and freedom party.

Hey, i strongly support her running for the office. Every looneytoon that actually shows up at a booth and pulls the lever for her is one less potential vote for the current administration. Not like she's gonna pull votes from the other side.

But to be fair... I also support the idea of really roasting her. That broad's dumber than toast.

I have a feeling that a lot of liberals will not vote in this election because Dear Leader has not taken the country far enough to the left and reneged on 90% of his promises, just like a lot of conservatives did not vote last time due to milk toast McCain. Of course, most liberals never noticed that Bill Clinton was the only president in the last century that did not keep any of his campaign promises. Whenever I mention that to a liberal, I get "the deer in the headlights" look.

The liberal media has already started to deluge us with phoney poll number that show a landslide for Obummer. I just do not see that situation no matter how you look at it.

Recent history shows us that in order for a Democrat to be elected, he or she must have a mesmerizing effect on people and they must convince them that they alone will magically straighten out the mess that Democrats have created over the years. The mesmerizing effect appears to have worn off with The Kenyan.

I agree with giving Roseanne as much publicity as we can. She could not possibly pull any conservative votes. I think she should use her singing rendition of the National Anthem as her party's theme song. That should help pull votes from the anti-American left.

Glad to see I am not the only one down on roseanne! LOL
And Rob, not that way! LOL

Yes, one can not trust polls put out by the MSM because they are skewed completely toward dear leader.
Hey, poll 100 democrats and 6 republicans and off course obama would be ahead.

Funny, the Iowa State Fair running right now, in one of the buildings there are two jars.
Obama on one, Romney on the other.
Drop a corn seed on the one who will win.
Romney was the heck in front!
Now, certain people in the family?
Oh, I cheated and put in 2 or 3 or more into obama's jar. Just can't let those people think that other guy is worth it.
So, I said, according to you then, all those corns in obama's jar are actually put there by the same dozen people?
That is when my lovely wife told me to stop.

For anyone who doesn't know much about Paul Ryan, watch this. It will be fun when this guy gets to chew up Biden during the VP debates. Unfortunately, they didn't include enough of the discussion to show Obama fumbling through the response.

Ahhh thank heaven he's back in the spotlight

The ever inspiring Joseph Biden was speaking to a crowd of cheering faithful and he exhorts them to action by promising

"with you... with you we can WIN North Carolina!"

Granted, with ACORN involved he might be right, but still not something you admit openly while speaking to a crowd in Virginia.
