Falkland and South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands

Falkland and South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands are british territory right now but are claimed by Argentina, the claim is specified in the constitution, it's a disputed territory. Argentina invaded de islands in 1982 for a short period. Why these territories are still disputed? isn't any international law to make clear the situation? The dispute isn't over because Argentina didn't signed any treaty. What is your opinion. How the conflict will end and when?

The dispute won't end. Clearly the Islands are British territory. Using the logic of Argentina, Bahamas should be US terroritory, the Canary Islands should belong to Morroco, the Channel Islands to France etc

Hope so, i'm worried about my .gs domain (South Georgia), i want to build a good site, and to make it my main source of income in the future and don't like the idea of losing all because Argentina is taking by force or not the islands again.

If they will take South Georgia again for sure will rename it as San Pedro and the .gs domain will dissapear. Don't like the idea.

The inhabitants of the Islands side overwhelmingly with Britain.

Argentina lost in '82. They can keep disputing it. I don't believe they'll win that one anytime soon.

The Falklands are very sparsely inhabited. Most of the dispute is that Argentina was the oil and fishishing rights.

Does anyone even live in South Georgia? The UK actually has a lot of sparsley inhabitaded Islands. I guess the biggest reason for maintaining the colony is for strategic reasons. There was even a large naval battle down there during WW1 with Germany.

South Georgia has no stable population right now, only few scientists from the British Antartic Survey.
