Governement Run Amuck: Something to Think About

If you think our rights in the USA have not been eroded, here are a few things to think about.

If you trust the current government, they have probably put something in your Kool-Aid.

There are many eye-opening statements made by government officials throughout this video. One of the most astonishing is Eric Holder's interpretation of due process vs judicial process around the 18-minute mark. I wonder if he interpreted this the same way during the Bush administration.

Something I came across yesterday was this:
If obama and his regime, all the liberals, all the government agencies....
Do not believe in the constitution and think it should be shredded?
Then people do not have to obey them or support them.

    Pretty long....

There's a good Op/Ed in FORBES about the government arming civilian depts for war. It may be old news to those of us that/ve been bitching about it already... but it's nive to see it finally finding its way from rightwing blogs to larger venues. It gives some credence that of course wouldnt be necessary to do if the critics would just follow the links we've been posting to the GSA website and the like showing these purchases are the real thing, not a story Fox made up to slander Obama's pure and blameless name.

I've seen this and I think that the Government is worried about a financial collapse. If the US were to reach 'Jimmy Carter inflation levels', the interest on the national debt alone reach $4 trillion a year.

There's also 50 million people today on food stamps and countless more millions on other government programs. There just isn't enough money to keep up with the rate of inflation unless the Fed were to continue to print into hyper-inflation.

At this point, the US Army only has around 350k front line troops and most of them are deployed outside the US. In addition, the National Guard has around 350k but their training is to 'put down riots' in crowd control type situations. Back during the OJ riots in Los Angeles, the California National Guard had no ammo and basically were useless until they were re-enforced with regular troops. This is just one city and it took all the forces in California to control the situation.

All I can say is that 1.6 billion rounds isn't going to be enough when a loaf of Wonder bread costs $20 and the Government can't make the monthly payments on the Obamaphones.

If there is a complete economic collapse, our cities would quickly turn into bloodbaths as soon as people got hungry--which would only take a few days.

There is a growing number of people who think this is part of the master plan. The complete collapse of the system would allow Dear Leader to take complete control, confiscate all firearms and restructure a new Socialist system. I've never heard of a peaceful Communist takeover, so this is certainly within the realm of possibilities. Anyone who doesn't think this is possible in the USA needs to spend more time studying the history of humanity. Our Constitution will not stop anyone who doesn't believe in The Constitution. When Obama was a part-law school lecturer (he never was a constitutional scholar or law professor), he frequently referred to The Constitution as a "deeply flawed document."

The ammo is being purchased by DHS, not DOD. It isn't headed for the military, it is a single piece of a broader pattern of militarizing executive branch depts.

Yep... what passes for economic policy now is so laughably unsustainable the only choices are the guys in DC are uniformly incapable of recognizing it or are doing it intentionally. The fact that Obama has simultaneously:

    • - indebted us to increasing numbers of welfare recipients,
    • - pushes the economy toward increasingly unsustainable levels of spending,
    • - ramped up surveillance in multiple forms in violation of the bill of rights,
    • - is attempting to disarm the populace, supplied military hardware and horded ammo to the executive depts,
    • - and quietly enacted exec orders that prepare for a takeover in a crisis...

make it pretty obvious he is actively manufacturing the crisis that would allow the takeover.

Meanwhile his DHS is repeatedly sends out messages that veterans, people that vocally object to infringement of the bill of rights, pro-gun advocates, and others on the right are terrorist threats. We're on a collision path with moving into the territory shown in Orwell's "1984" saga, and everyone on the right is guilty of "thought crime".

If you look at the broad picture it SHOULD ring alarm bells at an ear-splitting volume, BUT... the media is almost uniformly ignoring it. They look at each incremental infringement as a stand-alone issue (if they report it at all) while parroting transparently lame excuses offered by the administration, such as suggesting they have the ability to execute US citizens without due process but probably won't use it... or they just ordered enough ammo to kill every man/woman/ child in the country for target practice (even though the ammo is NOT the type used for target shooting).

Huh?! This is supposed to be an acceptable answer? The House should be sending Napolitano a subpeona and ripping her apart before impeaching her. This military buildup of civilian departments in the executive branch is a Sword of Damocles hanging over the US public, and it is targeted at the right bigtime. They can disagree with my politics legally. They can pass laws I dont like IF they are constitutional. They cannot however attempt to ingringe on the rights safeguarded by the bill of rights. Doing so makes them criminals, despite their attempts to turn US into them by statute or edict.

I agree with a lot of things in this thread, but you are missing a part that play evil and put oil on the fire, the mainstream media propaganda.

There is nothing more dishonest and deceptive in the Liberal world than Ed Schultz. I cannot even stand watching him because of the constant stream of utter BS.

I'm a bit of an insomniac, so I often find myself watching Washington Journal on CSPAN in the wee hours of the morning. For a government funded non-partisan information source, which they often are, Washington Journal tends to have mostly leftists on as it's guests. Occupy Wall St., Randi Weingarten (AFT), a whole string of ex-Democrat legislators turned lobbyist, and Ed Shultz.

The beautiful thing about Washington Journal is that they take calls from "ordinary folk". I've managed to get on the phone with just about every last one of these tools, including Ed Shultz. Its pretty funny watching these guys stutter when they get asked real questions from hostile callers. Liberals, and especially the more vocal liberals, tend to be like delicate flowers that can only blossom in the tender embrace of their echo chamber. Nothing more joyful than putting on a nice big set of jackboots, stomping through the daisy field, and looking at the shattered liberal psyches in your wake. If you have the chance, I highly recommend it.

Also liberals love it when people on the right use terms like "jackboots", and "stomping".
Because that is part of the liberal history.
    See nazi germany.
