Obamacare Strikes: Part-Time Jobs Surge To All Time High; Full-Time Jobs Plunge By 24

As a reminder: jobs have quantity and quality components. The quantity component was good enough to convince the 10 Year the taper is imminent (if not stocks, which continue to trade dislocated from any and all fundamentals). But how about the quality? In a word: not good. In June, the household survey reported that part-time jobs soared by 360,000 to 28,059,000 - an all time record high. Full time jobs? Down 240,000. And looking back at the entire year, so far in 2013, just 130K Full-Time Jobs have been added, offset by a whopping 557K Part-Time jobs. And there is your jobs "quality" leading to today's market euphoria (if only for now).

It is just on the front of our eyes, things are not getting better, and it is very worrisome.

Even the government school systems here in Phoenix are limiting adjunct positions (non essential teachers) to less than 30 hours to avoid liabilities with ObamaCare. The people who voted for it are just starting to read it and they are finding out that it is a huge and very expensive mess.

Obama just delayed a major requirement for businesses to avoid this as a campaign issue in the mid-term elections. The Republicans need to make this a major issue by educating people about the problems.

People are starting to see the light and do not believe the current claims that the economy is getting better under Obama. However, for some reason they are not associating the problems with Obama's Keynesian economic policies, which are the same types of policies that very likely kept us in The Great Depression until WW II. If they really understood the impact of Keynesian economics, ObamaCare and over 120,000 pages of new regulations, his popularity numbers would drop like a rock.

54 straight months so far, under buck ofama, of unemployment at or aboved 7.5%.
And this figure does not even include all those who quit looking for work, who went on welfare, and who went on SSD.

And most of the job growth?
    Part time jobs.
Cheaper now for companies to hire 2 or 3 people working part time than to hire 1 person full time.

The real unemployment rate is much higher than the official rate. Every part-timer is removed from the unemployment numbers, as are the record number of people on Social Security Disability Income.

What is really amusing is how many honest workers are somehow becoming disabled just to help lower Obama's fake unemployment numbers.

Obamacare and the Illegal Immigration 1-2 punch ...

Native-born Americans gained no jobs since 2000, says report

In contrast, 5.3 million new immigrants have won jobs since 2000, while the nation’s working-age immigrant population has grown by 8.8 million, said the report.

The CIS report says post-2000 immigration of 16 million people didn't boost job growth for native-born Americans.

Food stamps are the reason people don't feel the pain of 1970s style stagflation.

Now that they are doing the rollout of Obamacare there's a lotta folks on the left getting sticker-shock on the pricing.

Their howls of pain would be a lot funnier if their decision to hop in the van with the creepy guy that offered 'em free candy didn't affect the rest of us.

PJ Orourke covered it when he said If you think Healthcare's expensive, wait til you see what it costs when its free.

What is amazing is how many idiots thought that it was going to be free for everyone. I wonder which community organizer told them that in order to get them to vote for Obama.

It is too bad that it is not possible to re-run the last election now that reality has set in.

The timing was pretty well planned in my opinion, now people will discover the big scam of this mandatory system which will bring trillions of dollars to big pharma and health insurance corporations.

It would be interesting to know all the backdoor deals from this scam!

Obamacare Website Cost $634 Million, Faces Months of Glitches

Healthcare.gov, the federal Obamacare website, cost taxpayers more than $630 million, nearly seven times its original estimate of $93 million, new figures reveal.

Yet it will likely take months to get it running properly following its disastrous rollout last week, when those hoping to enroll instead experienced an online nightmare, with websites crashing, refusing to load, and failing to offer comprehensive choices.

"It’s like trying to repair a car while someone is driving it," George Edwards, a computer scientist and professor at the University of Southern California, told Fox News.

The administration has tried to explain away the problems as a result of heavy traffic.

"Take away the volume and it works," President Barack Obama's chief technology adviser, Todd Park, told USA Today.
But technical experts say the problems are inherent to the design of the website itself.

"I was trying to use it as a consumer … and I could see the Javascript errors," James Turner of software company Beeonics told Fox News, referring to the code that activates within the browser.

"I've been a software developer for 33 years now," he said. "After a while when something is not working right, you just kind of know the reasons why things are failing. It looks like the user interface was something that was tested least, or not done right, or both."

Turner said he tried to compare insurance prices several times and in four different browsers, but without any luck.

Tens of thousands of people who have tried to register since the website went online Oct. 1 have been blocked from enrolling and asked to reset their passwords, reports CBS News.

Luke Chung, an online database programmer, told the network that despite repairs over the weekend, the entire site needs a complete overhaul.

"It wasn't designed well, it wasn't implemented well, and it looks like nobody tested it," he said, adding, "It's not even ready for beta testing for my book," he said, adding, "I would be ashamed and embarrassed if my organization delivered something like that."

The Department of Better Technology, a private company that builds software for governments, claimed CGI, the company contracted to build the site, was not qualified to do the job.

Contracting officers, it said in a recent blog post, are "afraid of things going wrong down the line inside of procurement, so they select vendors with a lot of 'federal experience' to do the work. When things still go wrong, they simply throw more money at the same people who caused the problem to fix the problem."

"The contractors who made this website were at best sloppy, and at worst unqualified for the job," it states, noting, "Not only did the site not scale at launch, it was riddled with errors, and it clearly wasn’t ready to go."

The White House was aware of that well ahead of the rollout but insisted on proceeding anyway, reports The Washington Post.

Robert Laszewski, a health care consultant with clients in the insurance industry, told the newspaper that insurers were complaining loudly that the site was not working smoothly during several teleconferences with officials at the Department of Health and Human Services before and after the exchange's launch.

"People were pulling out their hair," he said.

That could complicate the requirement for all individuals to use the new system or buy health insurance elsewhere by early 2014.

"How can we tax people for not buying a produce from a website that doesn't work?" asked House Speaker John Boehner.
