Steep furloughs hit military workers this week

Monday will mean a day without pay for thousands of Americans who work in defense jobs --another effect of automatic federal budget cuts. The furloughs starting tomorrow affect 680,000 workers. For the next 11 weeks, they will lose 20 percent of their pay.

The furloughs thus far have been mostly BS selected to make it look like draconian cuts are being forced upon government. Obama is going to use this as an excuse to blame the Republicans just prior to the mid-term elections.

The total government sequester cuts per year are only 2.4% and because budgets were already paid out through the end of June, the total cuts for this year are 1.2%. That does not equate to 20% cuts in pay for military workers. The only reason they are concentrating the cuts on military workers is because the Liberal media will run with that as a way to blame Republicans for the pain being inflicted. The pain is coming from Obama, not the miniscule sequester cuts. Even with the cuts, the budget this year is still larger than last year.

Total discretionary spending for fiscal year 2014 be cut by $91 billion to a total of $967 billion

This does nothing to cut out of control entitlement spending. For example, the foodstamp program is 1.3 million persons higher than in April 2012.

The squester cuts didn't stop Obama from spending $100 mln on his Africa trip. How bad can the cuts be?

The sequester cuts are purely political to make it look like the Republicans are inflicting pain upon innocent people. The Dems will use that as an advertising topic in the upcoming mid-terms.

None of the sequester cuts thus far have reflected the miniscule 1.2% budget cuts for this year.

Sequester cuts were buck ofama's idea.
Then when he found out the republicans loved that idea, and could stick it to the president, buck tried to spin it that it was not his idea, but the republican party's idea.
But again, he found out that the media and the American people knew the truth of the sequester.

But still, every federal agency, when forced to make a few cuts here and there?
    Blame the sequester.

Thus in essence, they are blaming buck!

Which rankles him to no end!
