Thread: US Prepares for Possible Cruise Missile Attack on Syria Government Forces

You cannot argue with his logic.

If we ended out taking out the Assad regime, would you want the chemical weapons to fall into the hands of the Islamists?

It also shows that the international community is starting to see the insanity of the Obama regime.

John McCain was on a local talk radio show today claiming that the Syrian militants have no association with al Qaeda, but he did not convince me. I also listened to John Kerry's speech laying out the justification for attacking Syria. He sounded like much more of an imbecile than usual. Someone should tell him, "war should be the last resort, not the first resort." What a moron.

These guys are hell-bend on going after Syria. Something that they are not telling us is driving this.

The real Syrian militants are in fact a little faction from all the fighters in Syria. The djihadists are mostly provided and paid by the Saudi and Quatar.

And if you dig a little bit and see what the djihadists are doing besides fighting the Assad regime, they fight the Syrian Kurds, the Syrian Christians, and if the regime fall, the Allawite population will be exterminated, this is insanity.

I read a good article from the Guardian a while ago, which explained the situation.

Free Syrian Army rebels defect to Islamist group Jabhat al-Nusra

The well-resourced organisation, which is linked to al-Qaida, is luring many anti-Assad fighters away, say brigade commanders.

The attack against Syria appears imminent. WhiteHouse.gov just published this today:

Government Assessment of the Syrian Government’s Use of Chemical Weapons on August 21, 2013

Unfortunately, it seems like our elites are rushing to make war without thinking about the consequences, they don't even wait the reports from the UN inspectors. Why the Congress isn't called back in emergency from recess? It is important that when engaging the country into war that the elected politicians representing the people must vote for it like the Constitution stipulates.

    I have watched the
Ghouta Claim, if it was the real sarin, the "doctor without borders" and the people bringing them to the hospitals would have been contaminated. The Assad regime is far from clean, they are using incendiary weaponry similar to napalm on heavy populated areas.

All the neighbors Arab countries and Israel are also in high alert and ready to strike.

If we start a war, nobody is able to predict how it will end.

I think they are aware of the consequences. Almost everything that Obummer has done since taking office has aimed to destroy our traditions, support radical Islam, torch our moral values, eliminate work ethics, and divide the country. This is just more of the same.

When the history books are written, the biggest joke will be that this guy was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize before he took office and without a single notable accomplishment in his entire life. Historians will be scratching their heads about this for hundreds of years, provided that the USA survives Obama and the Democrats do not write the history books.

Obummer is operating on his own, both on an international basis and within the USA. He is required by law to get approval from Congress, just like Bush did. It looks like they may have been forced to back off from calling this a NATO action due to the lack of participation by other NATO members. Obummer likes to use NATO as an excuse to circumvent Congress by saying that this is not a USA military action; it is a NATO action. He did that with Libya.

This guy and his gang of idiots do not want to be a Constitutional administration and they have little regard for the rule of law. They want the type of tyrannical Marxist rule that The Constitution was designed to protect us from. He really does not want to be an inspiring leader; he just wants to be a benevolent dictator. Anyone who thinks otherwise would have a difficult time making their case based upon his action thus far.

This morning I was reading this article:

Among Syrian Opposition, Mixed Feelings About U.S. Missile Plan

and this confirm that this action intend could be just the tip of the iceberg...

Even some top U.S. military officials have said they worry about the aftermath of a limited military engagement in Syria. "Once we take action, we should be prepared for what comes next," warned Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the U.S. joint chiefs of staff, in a letter to lawmakers last month. "Deeper involvement is hard to avoid."

    Pretty scary!

I predict that almost as soon as we launch the cruise missiles, the Muslim world will be in an uproar about the number of civilians once "massacred by Americans as part of their war on Islam". I cannot recall anything we have ever done to help a Muslim population where they showed appreciation for what we did. This is not like when Europe was liberated from the Nazis.

Exactly, the President of United States of America is elected to protect the Americans, the country and the American's interests. I see none of that threaten by the Syrians.

Now read if you have the time this article, Michael is very right on his analyze:

President Obama turns to Congress to OK strike against Syria

President Obama announced Saturday that he has concluded the United States should take military action against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his regime for using chemical weapons on civilians, but will first seek authorization from Congress.

“This menace must be confronted,” Obama said of the Assad regime’s alleged strike, speaking from the Rose Garden.
The announcement, though, sets up a timetable for debate that could drag on for weeks.
Obama said he would wait for Congress to return from recess; members are not scheduled to return until Sept. 9. Yet the president claimed any military response to Syria is “not time sensitive” and would be effective even one month from now.
The decision to seek congressional authorization is a departure from the administration’s decision to intervene in Libya in 2011. Though the president said he thinks he has the authority to order a military strike, he made clear he will ask Congress to vote on the issue.

Well there are many horrible things in this world that deserve military interventions, but the consequences could be much more worse than good. Sometimes it is better not to be involved in other people business and not supporting opposition that aren't for democracy.
