Wendy Davis Campaign Bio Dies: Film at 10

Wendy has been running a campaign that centered around her Texas success story. Here's the gist of it from the youtube video she narrates.

For Wendy Davis, Texas has always been a place of tremendous optimism and endless opportunity. At 14, she went to work to help support her family. At 19, she was married, divorced, and raising her child alone in a trailer in east Fort Worth. She struggled to make ends meet until a co-worker gave her a brochure for Tarrant County College. After community college, she continued to Texas Christian University where she graduated first in her class. She later went on to Harvard Law. ...
The problem is the text above, like the video to which it was attached... suggests she was a young working mom who started in junior college, then worked her way thru TCU and even Harvard. Impressive, right?

It kinda forgets to mention she was only in that mobile home a coupla months, and she married one of her dad's buddies and he paid her way thru TCU and Harvard... cashing in his 401k and taking out loans to pay for it. He even kept her kids here in TX while she went away to Harvard.

Here's the video. Listen to Wendy tell the tale, and note the absence of any mention that hubby had any role whatsoever.

Here's my take on the whole thing:

It's bad enough she's getting boatloads of financial support from outta state, but toss in that she's based her campaign on a lie, I'd say the only way she'll get into the governor's mansion is if she buys a ticket to take the tour.

Lots of good stuff on Twitch. At the link, besides those tweets, are more sections about her.
Really funny as heck to read those tweets.

I heard about her BS tale on the radio yesterday. She needs to go down in flames. Good riddance.

We have enough people in the White House who are incapable of saying anything truthful. We don't need more of that spread throughout the country. New Yorkers might feel sorry for her, but Texans won't put up with her crap.

I thought it was truly classic when she said that, since Abbott hadn't "walked in her shoes", he didn't understand struggle.

Gee, Wendy, it'd be kinda tough for him to walk in your shoes since he's a paraplegic and confined to a wheelchair. While he can't walk in his own shoes, let alone yours, I'm quite certain that Mr. Abbott is very familiar with struggle.

I am still waiting for her to say something along the lines:
Well, he could have walked in my shoes the first 26 years of his life.
Not my fault he lost the use of his legs.

That would not be compassionate. Remember when Biden told Chuck Graham who was in a wheel chair to stand up and take a bow. One of a large number of classic Biden faux pas.

The problem is that so many new Democrats follow the role models and mistakenly think that they can get away with lying as well as the Clintons, Obama and Biden. They cannot do it successfully because it takes a lifetime of practice.

I'm waiting for her Horatio Alger story to become a book... "How I Overcame Poverty By Marrying Dad's Rich Friend".

And yeah, her Twitter meltdown was pretty special, and it's hard to believe she chose the "walk a mile in my shoes" line to dismiss the quadraplegic opponent. Smooth. Even Texas Monthly has come out and said apparently she was not ready for primetime. These are unforced errors.

Her supported have now been caught mocking the fact that her opponent is in wheelchair, as if that somehow disqualifies him. Oh yeah, this is a sweet bunch of caring Democrats.

The Democrats have targeted Texas for a takeover like they did in Colorado. They want those electoral college votes. The best hope for Texas is if they run more politicians like Davis.

Texans, beware of a mass-migration of Californians. That is how they took over Denver politics and the now control the state of Colorado. Almost everything in Colorado is now strictly controlled and restricted by the environmentalists. A friend who owns a ranch in Gunnison cannot even dig a hole on his own property without risking thousands of dollars in fines. They are trying to push legislation through that makes the Sage Grouse a protected species, which gives them even more control over what you can do with your property. If they claim your land is a prime habitat, they can prevent you from harvesting your crops, mowing fields, fixing fence lines, etc. All of this is being done despite the fact that no one, not even the local game warden, has seen a Sage Grouse in the area for over 20 years.

Just spread the word to loyal Texans and beware. These people want full control and have evil intent. They have taken over Tucson in Arizona. It is a now sanctuary city for illegals and they strictly control almost everything. The locals are now not allowed to plant anything in their yards that is not a native Arizona plant. A friend retired there and wanted to plant an orange tree in his back yard, but was not allowed to do so because it is not a native plant. This is despite the fact that some areas in Arizona have huge orange groves because oranges actually like the alkaline soil we have here.

When you drive through the new areas of Tucson, they now look just like upscale areas in Los Angeles.
