Why would our government, which inches closer to socialism itself, care if Mexico went Communist?

Well, we know that at least half of the voting population would probably prefer a socialist system. Don't forget that Comunism and Socialism are not the same. Communism tends to be a totalitarian form of government with few individual rights. Socialism tends to fall in between Capitalism and Communism. European countries are Socialist, but have no desire to become Communist. Countries rarely turn into Communist states without bloody revolutions that results in millions of deaths.

There was a great special on Fox News called "Boomtown". How about this for the 1%-- Washington DC has the worst income distrubution in the world. The top 5 percent of households in Washington, D.C., made more than $500,000 on average last year, while the bottom 20 percent earned less than $9,500. The top 20 percent households make more than 174k a year.

Their investigation concluded and revealed those in Washington's permanent political class and aristocracy only have incentives to grow the size and scope of government to further enrich themselves and their cronies.
'Boomtown' Special Angers, Resonates with Americans

So, between the Political Class, Crony Capitalists, Public Sector Unions and those living on welfare--THe US Federal Government is borrowing 42 cents for every $1 spent.

$16 Billion, is to be distributed by HUD through the Community Development Block Grant program. This program provides extraordinarily flexible funding to state and local governments to pursue affordable housing, anti-poverty and other initiatives. A report from GAO found that HUD lacked measures to provide proper oversight on how the funds are spent.

This is probably a slush fund to bail out the unions. Illinois already has $96 billion in debt to the unions and is 1/3 of general spending goes to pay for pensions.

The Latin American counties love communism because of promises of land redistribution. The average American doesn't want to take over a couple of acres to grow corn.

Another way to look at it is that the socialist tax you to death whereas the communists come to your door and confiscate all you have.

You see every night actors in Hollywood calling for more taxes and expressing their willingness to pay their "fair share". But they are all moving out of California to escape California's top tax rate of 13.3%

Now for the big Warren Buffett, who thinks he does not pay enough in taxes or that other rich guys like him do not pay enough....
He has always set up all his companies, his income, his stock, and so forth to pay as little as possible.
One of his outfits still in court over $1 billion in unpaid taxes!

Yet liberals love to bring him forth as an icon of rich guys who should pay more!

How about this? Al Gore is richer than Mitt Romney! John Kerry's wife Teresa Heinz is worth as much as $1.2 Billion.

The thing is that the rich have already made their money. Capital gains and inheritance taxes matter more to them than the income tax rates. The rich also have lobbyists to get special tax rates, and the small business man and the middle class are being squeezed.

    That's true.
What so many people fail to realize.
That the wealthy in this country do not get much if any of a salary.
So income taxes on salary means nothing to the rich.

Aint John Kerry the liberal nut who keeps his yacht down in Delaware or Maryland to avoid Massachusetts tax on it?

Just like abortion, where all the people for abortion have been born, the tax issue is always represented by the people who have the money.

This is really discouraging considering a lot of the population considers Kerry "one of them" and a "fighter for financial equality". The only conclusion I can draw is a need to completely give up on the masses.

Warren Buffet is a phoney who likes to hob-knob with Liberal presidents. He is know for only taking $100k in salary. The rest of his fortune is tied up in his companies. In order for his secretary to be paying the tax rate that he cites, she has to be making at least $250k, which is feasible when you work for a guy like Buffet.

The problem is that the Liberal media never digs into claims made by other Liberals.

Don't get me going about Kerry. Kerry is a traitor to the Viet Nam generation. He lied in a Congressional hearing about atrocities he witnessed while in Viet Nam, but he was never in most of those areas where he claims to have witnessed the events. He was only "in country" for about 4 months and 1 month of that was swift boat training. As soon as he got out of training, he wanted out of Viet Nam and wrote up his own Purple Heart accommodations for band aid wounds. The rule was three Purple Hearts and you were out. At least one of his very minor wounds are believed to have been self-inflicted. Another was a grain of rice that got stuck in his ass when they were blowing up rice caches. His commanding officer said he never signed off on the Silver Star when Kerry brought the paperwork to him. He threw him out of his office and the award arrived a month later. He never has released his military records, despite the claims that they were available on his web site. Try to find them.

It is not hard to figure out how Kerry "earned" his medals. He was good friends with Ted Kennedy who coached him on the building of a politician. It would appear obvious that a friend in high places pushed his medals through the system, because his CO did not sign off on them.

If you read Unfit for Command, you will find that 250 Viet Nam veterans who knew Kerry signed up with the Swift Boat Veterans for the Truth side of the story, while only 5 of Kerry's crew mates sided with him about his "war hero" claims. Kerry was know as "cut and run Kerry" to the other swift boat captains.
