    Facebook Ads Targeting for Niches

Just a heads up. (Y'all probably know this...)

I am starting to get pretty positive results for certain niches with Facebook advertising. The secret sauce to this is the targeting that you can do.

You can select by age (First time homebuyers ad is shown to 22-28 year olds).

You can select by their current job. (Company A gets a bonus, you can target their folks only with an ad.)

    You can geo-target...

And you can do a combination of the above to get it really tight.

Clicks are cheap and conversion is SICK because it is so targeted...

    Anyone else doing this?

Haven't started - but am giving it serious consideration.

The relatively low cost - plus being able to really target a particular niche makes things pretty attractive.

    Wow, that is really spooky.

That could be really interesting to NPO's and NGO's. For example, let's say that you're an environmental group that doesn't like the waste products produced by CompanyX, or that you are PETA and you don't like CompanyY's use of animal hides in their products, or that you are a labor union seeking to unionize CompanyZ.

But it could also be really nice for restaurants near big plants "Come to Billy Bob's Big BBQ -- 20% off for CompanyA employees on Tuesday."

I know some companies do a lot of traveling; I could target them for travel-related ads.

This has a world of potential opportunities.

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

For those wanting to know how to make money like Will, it's his thinking process reflected above that does it for him.

Opportunity is everywhere, even in recessions there are new opportunities, you just have to think.

@Will- Agreed -- with all of that. You were smelling exactly what I was cooking.

I am actually trying out a number of those types of campaigns...would love to compare notes with anyone to see what is effective...

So far seems to be lots of views / very few clicks - which is GREAT for PPC...ROI so far is insanely good, but way too small to know for sure.
