    blogger question

hi to all.... this is my first post here.I m currently using blogger for adsense. You guys might be knowing it very well that whenever we generate a post in blogger, the url of each post shows the month and year besides the title of the post.Is there any way that i can remove the month and year from the url and make it look like a normal url?

Example(before removal of month and date):

    http://blogger.blogspot.com/2008/12/post-title.html

Example(after removal of month and date):

    http://blogger.blogspot.com/post-title.html

Can this be done my modifying the blogger code?Waiting for your replies.....

  2. Do you have the ability to write to your .htaccess file when using Blogger?

    Let me ask you something...

Can't you afford to have your own site/domain and manage all that yourself?

I mean, blogspot stuff is really weird to manage, so if you had your own wordpress site and your own domain...

As far as I know no you cannot change it.

.htaccess is a separate file, it is not part of your HTML code.

I think this can't be done with blogger.

Blogger doesn't allow you to rewrite the permalink structure -- you're very limited to options when using Blogger.

  8. I wonder... are there free services that are better than Blogger in this regard?

Overall, I completely avoid Blogger and recommend that everyone else does also -- because they have a history of shutting down and permanently deleting blogs that they don't like.

WordPress.com appears to be a superior option for free blogging.

I've never had any problem with my blogs there (I've 4 atm), still their interface is terrible and there aren't many tweakable settings available.
Wordpress is a lot better from what I know.

WordPress is far superior to Blogger... But it doesn't allow much leverage in terms of changing themes.
