Submit new proxies-
Recently I am working on Assignment Plagiarism Analyzer. It works on institution level and checks if an assignment submitted by a student is original or not. It gives authority to teacher to create new assignments and declare its due date.. and some more additional features to create a controlled environment.
Right now I have completed its first phase. And it can compare 2 articles for similarity. Its kinda similar to DupeFreePro application.
The only programming language that I know is visual basic
With the ability to write a full fledged application in C#, PHP or Java you could call yourself a programmer.
The only programming language that I know is visual basic other than editing little parts of PHP, JavaScript and SQL.
You sound like one of my old mentors who would say that until you could break down an OOP language to the underlying C to assembly and machine code you were not a "real" programmer...![]()
He would also say, that OOP programmers are spoiled and don't know what "real" programming was like when you had to wait a week in the queue to run your punch cards...no misplaced semicolins in that day, blah, blah, blah...
I think the real standard, is if you state a language (or script) can you take a task and complete it with it... One of the best classes I ever took back in the day was the analysis of programming languages (kind of like learning Latin now I guess)...now not taught at most U.S. colleges unfortunately.
All good stuff...I really became a true fan of OOP with the emergence of Java and C++ with how much more I could do in significantly less amounts of time. That with the increase in computing power over the past decade makes the memory requirements of OOP's so much less significant, I can't wait to see where we're at in 10 more years!
Cheers,
James
