Yeah I haven't rode a bicycle either in years, I imagine if I got one now and just decided to speed down the highway with it, there is high probability of me having an accident or close call. But I don think the skill will leave your brain entirely. Its get shoved in that dusty place in your brain memory where things start to get fuzzy, I believe they call it, "refresh my memory"..![]()

one of my friend told me that when you knew one programming language, you knew most of them.
for he knows php, asp and almost all because he knew C and C++.
he add that, syntax will most likely be common to programmers when they knew one.
I believe it more about the programming methodology, not really the language. All high and low level languages are following the same methodology.
For example in PHP, you have
include 'class.something.php';
In C++ you have
#include <studio.c>
Same thing, different syntax. So yeah you can learn pretty much any programming language once you learn one. Its just a matter of learning the syntax.
Ironically enough all the high level programing languages like PHP, Perl, Ruby.. Are written in C. lol. Seriously download PHP and look at the source code.

Currently know PHP and MySQL very well, and that's really all I've needed to work on my sites and build great apps. I do have to say I'm interested in learning JavaScript a bit deeper than I know it already, but that can come with time
