    A lot of people who do not know any better. I only use it for testing web sites. IE has always been "the Most Broken Browser On The Planet", IMHO.

    IE still has over a 16% market share, although that is declining rapidly. The latest Zero Day security vulnerability is accelerating that.

    Where are they pulling their statistics from?

    So they actually don't know the percentage. They are just giving out random numbers.

    That is not what I read from the message. They are using their own server statistics and also other info from the web. No one knows with certainty what the absolute numbers are across the entire web. I have to assume that the W3Schools' info is mostly from techie types and people who are interested in learning HTML.

    Chrome is as good as Firefox IMO. Press F12 to get awesome web developer tools in Chrome like the web developer add-on for FF.

    I block affiliate links in robots.txt by the redirect link stem e.g. goto/affiliate-site
