If you want to generate more traffic, you have to participate in all the strategies to get back links.. Quality of back links.. Here are some of the strategies that I usually do:

  - blog commenting
  - classified ads
  - directory submissions
  - forum posting
  - link exchange
  - social book marking

prefer local directory US. Submit your site in it. it'll give boost to your site. Tough it is difficult but still it is valuable.
