Kind of an argument on words. Content is king, but links are the 'Queen of Battle'.
I think if you have a lot of back links you will be positioned better on Google, and get more traffic. If you want to stick with content you need to have perfect content so people would like to link to you. So, I'm choosing back links, but I admit that both of them are important...
If I can only choose one, it would be content of course. Google will somehow make its way to you.

backlinks since i want to get higher pr first to stimulate myself and put more contents
Back link will give you rank, if you have unique content it will automatically create back link for you
I personally thinks Backlinks are more important. Even If you have a duplicate content site and got a lot of backlinks from good sites, I think it can still rank. What are your opinions on this guys??
1) Even if your site isn't found on the major search engines, people can find you via your backlinks.
2) You need backlinks in order for your content to rank well
I voted for content, contents without backlinks can work if you build internal link anchor texts . If contents do not have links or not a lot, it is hard to rank.
I see everyday sites without contents, ranking just for the anchor text that are pointed to the site. The problem with this method is not having a better spectrum of all terms in contents that could be emphazed with internal anchor text links. Contents with internal anchor text links can help visitors and search engines to increase traffic. Term with different variations can offer search engines different possibilities to return queries in SERPs.
Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.
I am planning to give this theory a test. I am going to create a mini site powered by WordPress using 100% duplicate contents (articles, vids, and pics that already published somewhere else) some proven SEO plugins, and going to build a lot of backlinks to it (going to concentrate on article marketing and social bookmarking). Let's see if it works.
