Thread: Content vs Backlinks??

I am asking for Google. Which helps most to get a site ranked.
Content or Backlinks??

I have seen many sites ranking without content. I mean the site has only wallpapers, pictures..etc.. No content.

What do you guys think??

Well, pictures and wallpapers are content - just a different type.

If you're trying to create a successful website, I would recommend that you focus primarily on developing high-quality content that is both relevant and informative to your visitors and potential visitors. Backlinks, in my opinion, come second to content. Work on them once you have something that visitors would actually want to come and see.

content, quality backlinks and FEW outbound links

create content, create lots of inbound links to that content.

For competitive keywords the backlinks get the site ranked. For the longtail keywords its the content.

In my opinion the backlinks are the most important. Once the site has some juice, it's easy to add content. What good is it to have great content when nobody can find it?

What good is having backlinks if no content for people to come see?

BTW, most of the backlink methods need content as well. And content based methods are more reliable for rankings these days...

Content is critical to the success and ranking of a website.
In fact, great content even builds backlinks itself through linkbaiting.

I feel both are dependent on each other, having just one of the two never helps. COntent is specially important and building backlinks following to quality content is the path to successful Seo.

Content and Backlinks can be compared to On-page and Off-Page Seo. You can't do with just one, you need to have both. Another thing to be considered is Search Engines, Yahoo is more dependent on Content while backlinks are highly considered by Google.
