Who said being natural means no effort? Of course effort must be put in, but there's a difference between using over-optimization and tricks to compensate for lack of content quality (which is what is working less and less) and actually being of great quality as a whole, in terms of what the user actually sees and cares about and which is what engines appreciate more and more in order to attract people on that basis.
It's nothing about not taking effort.
SEO is forever if you want your site to be on the top of the search engines you need to work for it, although it can be quite hard as long as you do it the right way you'll get y our desired result
For me being natural means top notch content by splendid writers and good visuals enhancing the site / article. If on top you have cared about basic SEO, then you get both the reward of possible WOM + returning visitors AND search engine traffic. You can skip either good content or SEO, but then you lose a large % of possible visitors.
Quality + SEO = Most possible traffic.
Natural way will not succeed for sure. Without SEO, we can't make money in this competitive online world so SEO is compulsary.
You need to do a little of both:
SEM marketing through search engines
SEO optimize for the search engines
The resulting traffic from SEO can bring you nice profits. But, the webmaster should also recognize that they should have a back-up plan and put some effort into marketing. So that the site is not 100% dependent search traffic.
i believe in making site for users not Search engines.
this will not give you good rating in the beginning but eventually it will get in the good rating.
but ya SEO definetely add more flavors to it. but the primafocus should be on users.
Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty
