Default Do You Submit To Article Directories?

Hi!

Everyone knows that submitting to article directories, but very few people actually take time to write and submit articles. Maybe because, they get rejected or they prefer to use it on their blogs.

Do you submit to article directories?

Cheers!

I just rewrite some of the articles I've posted to my blog and then submit to ezinearticles.com. It nets me a few hits but I've heard once you get past 10 is when benefits kick in, so I'm trying to make it to that goal.

Thanks for reminding me, Farrhad, added it to my list of things to do

I did submit a single article for a health site and it got me around 10 hits, but as Corey says you have to submit a fair few to really reap the benefits, but it sure is a great way to get quality traffic.

I've around 100.

Been very busy. That reminds me I need to outsource 100 more.

Content = recurring money. Content you write / get written is never a waste.

Quantity is good, but I'd like to tell that I've 17 articles under one pen name giving me about 38,000 views and it's not something to be very proud of.

If you do your keyword research right, you'll be a rockstar at it. If you ain't good at that, then you may write 100 articles and reap the same benefits as someone writing 5 with proper keyword research.

(There is a post in the Internet Marketing section called Keyword Research 101. Should help. )

Hmmm good point, so it's more to do with quality rather than quantity? Or is it better if you just target the right keywords? Or both?

BTW, I'm guessing it's in niche markets that you got those 38,000 hits? Did they convert (were they quality traffic)?

Alike pretty much everything in touch with web marketing, it's the quality that matters the most.

Hmm... Swastik, what methos do you use to add emphasis on your keywords? As for me, I put them in bold but I would like to have opinions from different people.

Nah, I targeted a couple of mainstream markets.

- Dating
- Forex

Both have high search, high competition.

I researched keywords (as I gave a couple examples in the Keyword Research 101 post towards the end...) and found keywords with 500+ searches a month and less than 5,000 competition. It's easy to knock them off.

If you calculate, its approximately 2,000 hits that each article got. With 500+ searches a month keywords targeted and being on top of a couple of them, its relatively easy.

Steps in short:

- Proper keyword research.
- Highly keyword optimized articles. (I suck at niche writing, so I outsource)
- Submitting them to eZinearticles.
- Using an article spinner to product 4-5 variants.
- Submitting to 5 more article directories.
- Spending some time backlinking to those pages.

With the authority that those directories have, it's relatively easy to outrank if you've low competition. And that's exactly what I target. Numbers just add up. :114:

And yes they converted. I grabbed about 1500 people into my list and made about 500 sales of 4 different products (not mine) with a commission of around $25-$35 each. Some of them had recurring commissions which means I'll be getting money for a good time in future. :100:

Nothing. I don't know anything about it.

I have an outsourcing team I send my projects. They give me properly researched and already formatted articles. I just submit to article directories via article submitters.

Wow, great post! I think that the key for article marketing like Swastik says is good keyword research. Find the low hanging fruit and go for it. When I first started article marketing I wrote just a couple articles on World of Warcraft and submitted them. The articles weren't overly keyword-focused for the long-tail keyphrases, but they weren't overly competitive either. A couple weeks later I had 3 sales. Not bad. With some work I could have had a LOT more sales.
