    Does Google Like the Linkwheel?

    Hey guys,

I came across the link wheel and did a lot of research on it. I have heard some things that Google might penalize your site for it. Can you any body provide any more information on this?

    Thanks

Well, I didn't see any amazing positive results of linkwheel.. Neither negative though.

The test included all unique content for 12 high PR (PR4-8) web 2.0 but I wasn't very impressed with results (No result rather)

They might give a good result in long term and if not exploited, Google should not penalize the site.

spokes of the wheel with bookmarking and marketing of each spoke seemed to work better than focusing on the entire wheel for me.

I agree with Chilling Breeze. I have used Link wheel but didn't got any positive result. I don't think Google will penalize a site for using Link Wheel, though it is known as a Grey Hat technique by SEO experts.

I suggest you to build several Web 2.0 properties with unique content in them and link them to your main site. Make some links for each property through Article Submission or by other techniques and you will absolutely see some very good results. Although this seems lot of work, but in long term your main site will get full benefit of links from these Web2.0 sites.

I am wondering how Google would detect usage of a linkwheel?

A linkwheel is just a 'simulation' of natural link building isn't it? If you build a new linkwheel, would it be 'symmetrical' which is what the algo likes? What are the effects of the age of a linkwheel? Like in natural link builing, will there will be more reciprocal links over time?

Linkwheel can be of many many types actually. Any number of pages, posts, sites connected to each other making a wheel would be a linkwheel. But here we talk about the linkwheel created using content pages on various web 2.0 portals like vox, livejournal, ning and more. More sites covered and bigger is the link wheel.

    Why they're not effective?

First of all, not all pages get really indexed. Because they're created just for the sake of creation and it's nothing but exploiting a content database until and unless they are unique, maintained regularly by real users. So most of these are devalued by the web 2.0 portals itself if found. And in case if these are cached by Google, they are again devalued because of quick creation of multiple pages on multiple sites and making an artificial linkwheel connecting to a single site under promotion. If everything is done over time and in a prper
    way, it WORKs.

The better and advanced version of such linkwheels includes authority sites like ezinearticles etc. for backing up such web 2.0 pages.
    so in other way,

Google wouldn't really detect the usage of linkwheels but link builders themselves let Google detect the MISUSE of linkwheel if not done properly.

Wheel is essentially a link related content sites that all link to each other in a circular fashion, link juice passing through each other, whilst each other so all the outer ring has a series of fueling a central website, Usually the link juice which is pumping your money maker.

In case you do not know what is the link juice, a page's "popularity is a term for being passed on. If a website linking to your site a higher Page Rank (PR), then the link juice </span>On a good amount of passing, because that site is important and because you are considered to be important as well is if you have high PR site linking!

</span>For some time there is a big debate as to whether or not the link is still effectively running the wheels, some claim that they are, but you must be super with them constructively, </span>others say they are dead. I personally do not waste time on them, they take a lot of work for little results, and Google certainly has created an algorithm to place them outside links that will be difficult to record and then </span>will eventually connect the dots.

If you still want to make one, it's free, but it is my opinion that better time can be spent building links would be a huge waste of</span>

I just do not know, why others recommend linkwheel. I do not see any amazing results from it either. I would just rather do my linkbuilding naturally.

link wheel is one of the a most arresting way to get Google PR and it advice you to advance your search result. It slightly is hard to perform but you will get good benefit. No need to accomplish it so lengthy. just select 8 web 2.0, some article directories and your website of course then you can clearly see the difference.
