    Well, based on my experience as a receiver of email like that, I never open them and they go straight in the trash can. I hate spamming and I don't kno why people waste their time doing so.

    So, even it's your favourite hobby, you hate it? Actually it's just like when you in the real world, receiving brochure. It's the effort of the marketer, so i treasure it by reading.

    People don't like receiving things they haven't signed up for. Even if someone sends me a newsletter related to music, if I haven't signed up for it, I won't bother reading it.

    As Sneakyheathen said, even if it is about something I like, I am not interested in receiving stuff in my inbox that I did not ask for. Besides, most of the time, it's crap... that's why it's called spam.
