Thread: Fastest way to Go Viral

Hi,

I use offline promotion all the time I have run ads in newspapers, and done a few ahumm thing that have worked very well for my sites. I really want to find a skywriting plane. But most of my url's are so long.

Yea offline promotion can be useful but i didnt mean that i just meant that you should provide a good service/product/information and if people really like it,they will tell other people about it,and thats the best kind of promotion in my opinion

I've often wondered about offline promotion to enhance a website or blog. I considered making up business cards and dropping them in random locations - coffee shops, restaurants, where people pick up the newspaper, with the tip I leave a waiter, etc. -- anywhere that it will be noticed. As for making something viral, I honestly can't seem to figure that one out. My mission is to create something that results in tons of links (linkbait) but it's more difficult than it sounds!

Talking about offline advertising, I had put my main website url on my car, also I had talk to around 10 -15 friends of mine, and they put it too as well.

Also, it is on my business cards.

It might not be viral, but it dosen't hurt to have more exposure.

Mike30 very interesting idea,the only problem is that not too many people might see it,but i'm sure that most of those who remember the URL will visit it

yes, I agree with you kovich.

I just did a few days ago a little script with similar purpose. I also tried to put an option so anyone could receive donations. But it seems that the word "donation" dosen't fit too well.

It is a list of 5 level website urls list. So people share a list and get backlinks for 5 levels.

Should I add more or less levels to the script?
Should I take off the donation option?
Should I change the domain name also?

Is the idea good or bad at all?

What do you think?

If we want our site to go viral, offering incentives are really helpful. but not only to the referrer but also to the one they will be referring, this gives makes people think that they are sharing the blessings they discovered online with their friends and not only with themselves.

Viral videos had been pretty effective for me and my site, these kind of marketing strategy can drive plenty of customers or traffic to your site
