Thread: File Hosting Site Promotion

Hey, how's it going? I've been slacking on promoting a free file hosting site for a while now. I bought it with some nice traffic, turns out it was all paid for! Anyways, I have redone the design and get about 20 uniques a day. The site is: ImgLab for anyone curious.

I've heard talk about easy ways to promote file hosting, anyone know these methods? Anyone have any suggestions? I'm not really the social butterfly type, as I thought about just posting on many many forums. If anyone wants to help me promote I would be willing to pay as well.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

So when they click the image, they visit your website and might re-use it Also forum postings DO help, a friend of mine did the same

A review blog on the downloads you offer would be nice. Take a look at Cnet and download.com to see examples of this.

After looking at your site, you said "file hosting" - but its really an image hosting site. There is a big difference between the 2.

File sharing website can get a good boom if they start affiliate program. Do not only pay others because they get you paid customers but also because they make others to download file from your website. This will get you huge publicity.
