What I do to those that hotlink an image on my sites?
    Simple and it works...
    I rename my image.
The original name of the image I now upload some porn image and it has that original name.
Thus, you show on your site my picture that was of a house is now a porn image for your viewers to see.

Funny how many people have got banned on DP for hotlinking to my images!
I even did this to a mormon forum!
Boy, those so-called christians were not too happy!

I suspect that is the intent in the conditions of use. Hotlinking is when you link to the image on another site and display the image on your own site using that link. Technically, this is both a copyright violation and bandwidth theft. However, it may be unenforceable as a copyright violation because you are not physically stealing the image; you are only providing a link to the image.

I don't think the term can be enforced in any criminal court. In other words, it would not be against any law. The site owner would have to try to sue in civil court. The real issue is still one of whether or not it can be enforced. In the USA we call this a "straw dog", because it looks like a threat, but is not a real threat.

Sure. Send emails to businesses telling them that you have given them a free link at myxxx.com, because you have found their website useful to your visitors.

When they complain tell them that there is a link removal fee to cover you labor costs to remove the link from your website and purge the link from sql databases etc ...

The big disclaimer on this thread needs to be "Macedonian law may not be the same as U.S. law."

Of course, if you link to them from a site outside of Macedonia, it will be difficult for them to enforce Macedonian law.

In the U.S., the courts have generally ruled that linking is OK but hyperlinking images is only OK sometimes. As with all systems based upon English Common Law, you don't really know the law until you've exhausted the appeals process.
