Thread: Google PageRank Updates

I can't find any official notice on a page rank update.
But new sites of mine got page rank.
Old sites stayed the same.


On another note, since DP went no follow, quite a few people have been singing the blues in losing quite a few backlinks in google.
Never really dug into my sites, but many links that showed up in various search terms no longer show up (where the search term showed DP link).

I had an old site go from PR2 to PR3. A couple of new sites increased to PR4. Look for another PR update soon. Looks like this one is screwed up like the June 27th update.

Maybe a few websites that the PR was updated, not worldwide.

I suspect that this has something to do with Panda. I don't think that per se page rank has anything to do with Panda. Rather, it may be the case that the PR update needs to be run before Panda can be kicked off. The common denominator is that both a manual processes that don't occur automatically on an every day basis.

Let's see if there is a Panda 2.4 update soon.

This might sound strange I am almost betting I can guess when the next PR update is going to happen. I know you guys have been online and do more research then me. But for the last two years I have seen something with my sites. It seems 5/7 days before a PR update I have always had a huge spike in traffic to my sites.

Is this just a strange coincidence that my sites have this huge spike 5/7 days before an update???

It has been this way for me on every PR update for the last two years.



Any one else notice this?

I would say coincidence. At this level of traffic you could see anything into it imo.

got my first ever Page Rank in this PR update woohoooooooo it only went to a PR of 2 but the site is only 2 months old so I guess that is quite good considering the age of the site

I would focus my attention more on the Google Panda updates than on the PR updates. I'm expecting a rollout of Panda 2.4. Has anyone noticed any ranking changes?
