Thread: Google Penguin and Negative SEO?

Has anyone did an experiment with this??

I have heard that two sites were affected by negative seo.

This is a problem as negative SEO companies are now offering this service.

Negative SEO has actually worked for several years now, but in the past it was far more difficult and expensive.

Exactly what I was thinking. It's been around forever, it just gained a new degree of effectiveness.

I've thought for a long time that some of the idiocy you see from outsourced "linkbuilding" campaigns was so detrimental to the client's site that the money would be much better spent paying the same band of monkeys to "promote" your competitor's site. Pretty ruthless, but it'd work.

I suspect in the long run the algo will be altered to ignore such linkbuilding rather than penalize it. That'd eliminate the effectiveness of that negative SEO tactic.

This is stupid method that has been going on for so long. The People offering these negative services are like drug dealers who sell to children. We should form a community on IM forum to bring down these bastards who make a living from misery
