Thread: Google Updates Image Search

Hybrid View

  1. Google Updates Image Search

I just noticed that Google has updated their image search.

Now when you click on an image, it loads the image in a lightbox. The actual web page now loads behind the lightbox.

Luckily, the old breakout techniques still seem to work.

It looks like it is only visible in google.com. Google in other ccTLDs show the previous results.
I think it is an improvement, larger images, more results on one page and looks attractive too. Perhaps an opportunity to put some text in images and make them stand out in image results.

  7. Now if they could just get google images to update its search results faster.

I can post an image in my blog, and it might be 2 - 3 weeks before its listed in google images.
