Thread: How can I increase PR?

I agree. SERP wise, the site is better every month with more traffic. PR wise, it's decreasing...

I'm not very knowledgeable in the SEO field however within a month one of my sites got PR2, all I did was submit to digg, post on a few sites (like 3) advertising my site and that was about it.

Page Rank has nothing to do with sound SEO knowledge.

PR is just an imaginary number - all you have to do is get a link from a PR 4 page to get a PR 3 - so, you should not be worried too much about it

I think what Ash meant to say was "Congratulations!"

I think more valied links with Higher PR will helps you to get the Good PR.

No. I have a site that was PR2 with a solid PR4 link. It dropped to PR1 last update. So, no.

That's probably true, i have websites with high PRs but low on traffic. On low PR sites I get high traffic from Google.

To increase your PR dramatically, actually you can try this, maybe it will be boring but you'll happy when knowing that your PR is increased. This techniques is all legal, just need your patient and time (maybe 1-3 hour per day).

1. Make a contest, require people to make blog post about your blog (of course there should be a link to your blog) in way to get participated.

2. Blow walking, commenting in other people blog which have some topic with your blog. And you need to find the do-follow blog one. Try this technique :
- enter google
- type : "your keyword" "comment" "powered by wordpress/blogspot" (the result will showing a blog which have same topic with your keyword)
- next, try to enter some blog, do right-click, and push ctrl+f (find), type : "no follow", if word "no follow" is founded, leave that blog).
Do you know what i mean? So, if you already find do-follow blog, make comment as much as possible, and that comment will become backlink for you. Don't make SPAM comment. Do this routinly, maybe 10-20 comment per day, and within (for example) 1 month, you'll get many link.
The rest is, just wait for google to index it

3. Search forum which use do-follow tag in their signature area, and make many post as much as possible after you write your url as your signature. Let's said, you do posting 20 per day, and it's same with 600 post per month --> automatically, making 600 signature, right? It's samw with making 600 backlink for that url and the rest is, wait google to index it.

Good tips, but then again, I'm not sure that backlinks will do the job anymore, following the Google changes about that....
