How to do web 2.0 link building?

I want to know how to effectively go about web 2.0 link building..suppose i have a site on web hosting and i creat a blog on wordpress.com and post an article pointing to my site..then what??

Should I post my 2nd(3rd, 4th and so forth) article in the same blog?? that will make the G suspicious right?? should I create another blog and post the 2nd article there?? Its too tedious and spammy creating one page blogs with links to a site..

    I am confused, please help..

If it's solely for linkbuilding then spin the articles. Spin them to 75%+ Uniquness, then you can randomly place them.
    E.g.
    Create 5 blogs(wordpress.com, blogger, salon.com, livejournal,etc..)
    Write 5 Unique Articles
    Spin Each article 5 times
Now you have a total of 25 articles, 20 of them containing gibberish text but pretty much unique.

Now place a spun variant of each article on each of these 5 blogs over a period of time(don't do it all at once).
Also do some social bookmarking and RSS submission to get the articles indexed.

'Randomly' link them together, don't follow a specific pattern, keep the linking random. But do some reading before doing that as you don't want your blogs to outrank your site.
Basically, i'm asking you to create a mininet. It's highly effective from a SEO standpoint as far as i've observed.
The book Revenge Of The Mininet started this concept a couple of years back. It is available for free, however you'll have to incorporate the Web 2.0 technology into the techniques given in that book.

A Mininet basically involves random linking of niche-specific mini-blogs which ultimately provide/pass more priority to your end-site/page, i.e. the site/page you want to optimize for that particular keyword/niche.

    Here's an example Image :

Thanks Snak3..going through the minimet ebook now..

Seeing from the image u posted I see that internal pages of all minisites go to my main site pages.. i wanted to know, if say i created those blogs(or minisites) and if almost all the outgoing link from pages are going to my main site then google will get suspicious?? should i post some link to few other sites as well?? So for 20 articles that are posted on my blog(or minisite) around 10 will link to my pages, rest will link to few other pages..

    Howzzat???

Yea sure, that should work well. But keep it minimal and see that you don't link to the same external site more than twice. Keeping it niche specific and linking to a high authority site should be the ideal way to go about. Again, keep it random, no specific sequence.

And yeah, if you happen to do social bookmarking of a few posts. Be sure to get a RSS feed of the URLs(not all at a time) submitted to multiple RSS directories.
    e.g.
If you submit page 'x' to 20 social bookmarking sites, create an RSS feed of those pages using Daniel Tan's Ultimate RSS Joiner(Lets you create a custom Rss feed out of different pages from different domains) and then submit them to atleast 10+ Rss directories. Pinging each page of the submitted social bookmark can also be useful, though not as much as Rss Submission.
I use SeNuke for this, unsure of any free app that's available.

For some free blog hosts, here's Will's thread with a bunch of them :: http://www.netbuilders.org/promoting...sts-15626.html and here's another post in the same thread with the Alexa rank and Dofollow/Nofollow status of some of them :: http://www.netbuilders.org/promoting...tml#post131726

It's always great to achieve one link from one unique article because perhaps one of the main reasons why the article submission is not working that greatly nowadays is due to the links all coming from duplicate pages. By the way one more thing to note in here is trying to gain links from the older and established websites. For instance you idea of launching new blogs could be cool but they are new sites and naturally their links will not be very strong.

I think it is worth pointing out that many folks who throw a little money at a link wheel or the odd hub/Squidoo lens do fail to follow-up on building links to these efforts. As a result, they don't have the effect desired and the customer of the link wheel build, etc gets disappointed.

Web 2.0 is a buzzword for the increasing importance of social sites, i.e. websites where the readers contribute more to the content of the site than the owners themselves. There are especially three types of Web 2.0 sites that are of importance for search engine marketers: bookmarking sites like del.icio.us, blog trackers and search engines like Technorati, and article recommendation sites like digg.
