Thread: How to get Targeted US Traffic to my site?

Hi,

I am in to cpa now and I own a site for it.

I am looking to get more traffic from US.

What would be the best promotional methods to get targeted traffic, especially US traffic?

Your suggestions are valuable for me.

It depends on your budget. If you're on a tight budget try craigslist, backpages and all the other free classifieds. Other free resource are:

- Yahoo Answers
- Forums
- Traffic exchange
- Write and submit articles: Make sure the content you put in them is unique, informative, and well written with no spelling and grammar errors. Write a short bio and your website address at the end of each article.
- Blog commenting
- Link building: Find out websites that attract huge volumes of traffic and are not in direct competition with you, approach them and offer to have their link on your website in return for having your link on theirs. Since popular websites attract a large volume of traffic visitors visiting that site also visit your website by clicking on your links.
- Make sure your website user friendly and easy to navigate.

Make a long term traffic generation plan or road map, set your goals - whenever you make a plan, you do this with an intention of achieving some goals.

Search for USA classified directories on the web and keep your ads there, I hope it will work for you.

Basically if you want to target US traffic to your site, the best solution is building links on US sites.

If you can have your site hosted in US and your registrar in US, it will also help.

1. https://www.google.com/webmasters/

2. Add your site and do the following:
Site Configuration > Geographic Target > Target Users in United States

Get a US phone number with skype or ringcentral.com and put the telephone number on your website.

Google crawls and indexes phone numbers such as Google phonebook and local search. It makes sense that Google would use the data in other ways like geo targeting a website.

Do a search for instance on cpa 212 and clearly, the Google search results shows a association of 212 with the New York area code.

So by having "Telephone: +1 (415) ###-####" on my blog's Contact Me page, Google will determine that my site is in the US?
(It is, but I just didn't realize the phone number would be a factor.) Very interesting!
