Why do we need marketing for our website? Which type of marketing is most effective? Do you have any idea about paid and free (unpaid) marketing?

Marketing is the only way that you are going to get traffic to your site. Article marketing, social bookmarking, forum posting are all examples of free advertising.

I would strongly recommend article marketing as it can give you lot of one way backlinks and also targeted traffic. I have found it one of the best and quite cost effective marketing methods.
