    Is link building destroying websites?

Yestaerday I was searching for forms, it was for link promotion, I'm not gonna lie, and the results were dissapointing. I was looking for forums related to blogging and blogs in general, and almost every single forum from he first amd second page of google search, either the registrations were dissaloved or the forum was heavily spammed, do you think that link building is killing good websites where people would normally gather and communicate?

Link building can only destroy a good site by putting non-sense links ( not related to the content of the page)

This is case that the forums have little or no moderation and the spammers have taken over. It's like you have a garden and you do not take care of it. The garden will quickly become overgrown with weeds. So, is it the weeds that have destroyed the garden or the neglect of tehr gardener that has caused the ruin of the garden?

One big problem are two kinds of people:
    1. Those who sell forum posts as a means of getting your site onto forums.
'2. Those who use the services of number 1.

Link building with legit methods won't kill as long as real people are involved as audience/readers/interaction. Good forums won't allow spamming and bad forums will not work for link building anymore. I see a lot of forums have even stopped the registrations for sometime.

Agree. It's the neglect of the gardener. In this case the neglect of the moderators/admins of the forums, blogs. They must weed out the spam.

I've been to some forums where the spam had overtaken the forum. And on some the mods admins hadn't logged in for a few months. Guess they gave up on it or are thinking the forum's gonna run itself.

Yeah it's gonna run itself. Into the ground that is. You gotta take care of your sites/forums and remove the spam. Keep at it and it won't be so overwhelming.

due to these spammers sometimes a genuine person is also considered as spam, i had some bad experience regarding the same,i found some people manipulate the membership flow on forums. they try to become themselves as superior to others and when some one with new idea come up they are able to tolerate this.

Blogging is far too broad of a term to bring any results. Direct traffic or seo benefits. Take your time and go where the targeted traffic goes. Then use the forum as an extension of your blog and let the traffic trickle your way.

Link building is one of the SEO strategy which help your website to get ranked. It's not destroying your website.
