Be careful about weight loss guarantees. The most successful weight loss program in the USA is Nutrasystem.com. Its success rate is only 7%.

Most people will not adhere to a weight loss program unless you tie them down and feed them only periodically with a syringe.

You need need a chubby version of you for the "before" images.

    Diets are not about health.
    True.
    And fat man?
See, you are leaving out the bigger market, fat woman.

My understanding is that most buyers of products forget about the guarantee and lose their order number etc.

Yeah, I should look fatter in the before photo ha ha, I have one where I need to edit out one of my relatives. Or I remember a double-chin joke photo from a party swilling beer a few years back, have to try and find that one.

Unfortunately I know several obese women and have no idea how to motivate them to lose weight. They all have boyfriends/husbands and love life as they are. But guys always want to attract the opposite sex I think. And even fat women want a hunk rather than a slob I think.

    "No, the other one"

I've lost a couple of stone (~30lbs) myself and it took about 6 months, just by not eating so much and trying to ignore the 'munches', going without breakfast and lunch even some days, and it worked. I got down to 13st (~180lbs) from 15½st (~217lbs) but now it's crept up to 13½st so I guess I still need to work on it. Motivation? When I weighed myself and it was near the 100kg mark I was shocked into action. I'm 5'9" and couldn't see my feet (or anything else below my waist, except my guts hanging over my pants) so had to do something for my health, which has had 'issues' and major surgery. At the end of the day you've got to 'want to' lose weight, like giving up smoking - you've got to 'want to' enough to do the necessary. Not easy when you're a confirmed salad dodger like me, and exercise? I'll sit and watch.
If I can't be a good example, I'll just have to be a terrible warning...

From my experience with most obese people, they will cite a study claiming that some people get fat even when they eat the same amount of food as normal weight people. They usually tell you that while sucking down a mega-size soda, or gobbling an ice cream bar or inhaling multiple candy bars. I rarely see an obese person who is not constantly eating themselves to death.

Some people get to the point where they turn around and loose 100 or 200 pounds through strict diet or surgery. I commend anyone who makes that decision and drops the tonnage--but most people do not make a serious effort, which is why most diets fail. The real secret to any diet is will power. They have to get into the right mental state before any diet will work.

I got motivated when I got to 101kg and was labelled 0.1 tonne - scary weight!

Aren't we going off-topic? A Multi-step approach would be a negative for the prospects of a site like this, IMHO.
