My site is banned by google, or is it?

My only 2 sites are banned by google, at least that's what the google ban tool says.
However, they still show up in search results and according to the google webmaster dashboard both sites are still indexed. I am not aware of any wrong doings on my behalf so i really would like to know whats going on.
Anyone can shed a light on this?

Perhaps you entered the "www." domain instead of your actual domain.

Perhaps your Web site is not ranking visibly well.

    Have a light bulb.

    Thanks for the light bulb

One site shows not banned for just http://... without the www, which is good.

However, the other site still shows banned, regardless of www or not.

    Need a searchlight here.

Are ya able to let me in on your Web site URL?

Euh... have you tried to ask google for this matter? I mean, you can always ask what did you do that got your both websites banned, right? I had similar problem a while back when someone report my proxy website to google as a phishing (am I type it correctly?) site, I sent google an explanation about it and they removed the warning, well not straight away.. in fact almost 15 days but the thing is, they do listen.

    Hope it helps,

    Cheers

They're not actually banned. This tool just doesn't seem to be working for him.

I did not realize there would be a difference with or without the www in the URL.
However for one domain it seems to be the tool that makes the difference.

    Thanks for your help Charles

  9. All that tool does it run site: queries against the Google search engine.

    The queries look like this:
    Code:
    http://www.google.com/search?q=site:netbuilders.org

    http://www.google.com/search?q=site:www.netbuilders.org
The tool has a bug in it.

The tool looks for the text "of about" in Google's output. Well, that text only exist if more than 10 (I think ten is the number...) results are found.

Google's two different output strings look like this:
    Results 1 - 6 of 6 from example.com
Results 1 - 10 of about 745 from Example Web Page
The tool should report that a site is not banned if even one result is found, but it doesn't (yet) know how to deal with the first type of output string.

I'm going to take the tool out of the list until it can be fixed.

Thanks for the bug report and I apologize for the error!

Thanks a lot for the insights Will.
Apparently, there's a couple of similar stories circulating on the net. Interesting material.
